2 cups brown sugar ˝ cup half and half
2 tablespoons butter 2/3 cup chopped walnuts
1 teaspoon vanilla
Put brown sugar, half and half, and butter into a pan. Bring to a boil and boil until it forms a soft ball when a little is dripped into icy cold water. Remove from heat and beat until it begins to thicken. Add walnuts and vanilla, pour into buttered dish, cool then cut into squares. Do not let it cool too much or it'll be too hard to cut.
